Karoo 1 Hotel is a very family friendly destination to get away, unwind, switch off and just relax.
Avid mountain bikers enjoy a range of flow-tracks and trails, rock climbing or kloofing while the less adventurous guests take a dip in the kloof pool or enjoy a nature walk in on the farm.

We can accommodate 66 guests in our 31 Hotel Rooms. Feel spoilt every moment of your stay in one of our Deluxe Double Rooms, picturesque Standard Rooms, spacious Family Rooms or our Barn Suite.
All rooms are en-suite with bath and shower. Some have a bath in the bedroom, others a ceramic fireplace and all rooms look out onto the garden and surrounding mountains.
Guests are welcome to take a dip in our hotel pool or if you prefer the more natural option, you can head out to the kloof, located out a mere 500 metres from the hotel, to take a dip in the natural rock pool.
Each day a complimentary continental breakfast is served and guests can enjoy the regional delicacies offered at the on-site restaurant, which is prepared on the spot, using only fresh ingredients.
Picnics can be arranged at the hotel reception and there are a number of historical lookout points and local landmarks to enjoy your prepared basket in the bush.
Our restaurant serves a menu of traditional Karoo foods and dishes. Guests can enjoy a delicious meal under the sprawling stars of the Karoo heavens.
Few things beat the pleasure of a wholesome meal in an elegant farm-style decor. In summer, you will want to stretch lunch until sunset on the terrace overlooking the gardens. And in winter, dinner around the hearth is a wonderful way of engaging in enjoyable conversations until late in the night…
The farm has always been a trademark of delicious meals, ranging from banquets and functions to intimate dinners.
Pizzas and lighter meals such as wraps, sandwiches and a kiddie’s menu are also available.
The stark, untouched landscape of the Karoo provides a natural backdrop for our rustic wedding chapel. It can be uniquely decorated to suit your theme and our mountainous terrain makes for some of the most breath-taking wedding photography. The Chapel can seat up to 100 guests and includes a stage, pulpit, sign, table and electricity.
The old Cellar is our main wedding and events venue. Beautiful chandeliers hang from the ceiling while a large window looks out onto the Karoo landscape. The area includes a bar and a lounge area/ dance area inside.

The Matroosberg Conference Venue boasts space for up to 30 delegates and is equipped with all the basic conference necessities, including a screen, projector, whiteboard, and, of course, free wi-fi, with more specialised equipment fully on hand for an additional charge.
Water, tea, coffee and finger snacks will all be provided. And in between meetings, we’ve got everything your delegates could need to help unwind, whether they fancy a fireside chat at the bar, a sampling of the delicious local cuisine at our restaurant, or simply a chance to lounge out on the terrace and take in the beauty of the Karoo.
