Activities at Aardvark Bioreserve

EXHILARATING MTB TRAILS

Aardvark has an extensive network of carefully designed mountain bike trails on both the Eastern and Western sides of the reserve. These trails cater for both beginners (blue) and advanced (red)riders. There are various routes and segments including our unique network of “green trails” that carefully follow animal tracks. Trails range from 5km to 65km and can be downloaded on your Garmin.

SUN-DOWNER DRIVE

A sun-downer nature drive on the eastern section is available subject to availability and weather conditions. The game vehicle(s) will be shared with other guests. Game include Springbok, Eland, Kudu, Oryx, Giraffes, Ostriches, Blesbuck and Zebras.

HIKING TRAILS

There are numerous hiking trails ranging from easy to strenuous. On the eastern side of the farm these trails (Eland, Kudu and Springbok) are well marked.

WILD FLOWERS

The Klein Karoo is famous for its succulents and Aardvark is no exception. Our succulents bloom from as early as July through spring and with good winter rains the reserve turns into a sea of colour. 

Replace the city lights with the awe-inspiring expanse of the Milky Way and reconnect with nature at this magical Karoo escape!
