Geography and history

The Khomas Province is located in the central parts of Namibia. This province is one of only three that does not share a border with another country. It does border the following four provinces of the country – Erongo, Otjozondjupa, Omaheke and Hardap. The province has a total population of approximately 341 000 residents and its capital city, Windhoek, is also the country’s capital.

The capital city of Windhoek has a very good infrastructure and economic industry. This city has a unique blend of African and European cultures and the African savannah surrounds the whole city. Wildlife reserves are in abundance in this area and the National Botanical Garden of Namibia is definite must-see for all tourists.
