Rouxville
Geography and history
Rouxville is a small town located in the Motheo and Xhariep region of the Free State Province in South Africa. This town was named after Reverend Pieter Roux of the Smithfield parish. Rouxville was originally formed on the farm Zuurbult in 1863. During the Second Boer War, all of the town's residents were called up for military service and the town was deserted for a whole two years. This town is known for its wool production and cattle farming.
