Zastron
Geography and history
Zastron is a town situated in the Motheo and Xhariep region of the Free State Province in South Africa. This region was once a haven for the nomadic San, but unfortunately changed due to quarrelling between the San, Basotho and the Voortrekkers. Jan de Winnaar eventually won and formed the farm Verliesfontein. The town quickly sprouted from this farm and was named after his wife, Johanna Zastron.
