Bultfontein
Geography and history
Bultfontein is a small town situated in the Lejweleputswa region of the Free State Province in South Africa. It was established in 1874 on one side of a farm named Kameeldoorns. The town Hoopstad shares the other half. Bultfontein is a farming region and relies on the Sand-Vet irrigation system for its water. It has a population of 21 097 and the majority of residents speak the Sotho language. The town has the largest grain elevator in the country and the old police cell was erected more than a 100 years ago.
