Geography and history

Dealesville is a small farming town situated in the Lejweleputswa region in the Free State Province, South Africa. The town was established by and named after its owner John Henry Deale on a farm named Klipfontein. Dealesville is surrounded by salt pans and there are numerous natural springs in the vicinity. The town was proclaimed a township in 1899. A Voortrekker Monument was erected in honour of the pioneers Voortrekkers. Florisbad Archaeological Site is famous for the Florisbad skull discovery.
