Cornelia
Geography and history
Cornelia is a small town situated in the Northern Free State region of the Free State Province in South Africa. The town is named after the wife of former Free State President Francis Reitz. Many archaeological finds have been dug up in this area including interesting fossils such as donkey-sized pigs. Cornelia has a population of 1 502 and the majority of its residents speak Sotho.The well known writer, PG du Plessis, was born here.
