Deneysville
General Information
Deneysville is a small village located in the Northern Free State region of the Free State Province, South Africa. It was founded in 1939 on the banks of the Vaal Dam and named after Deneys Reitz who was the son of a former Free State president. The proximity of the dam makes this village the yachting mecca. Two of the most well-known boat races are Keel Boat Week held at Deneysville Aquatic Club and Round The Island Yacht Race which is held at Lake Deneys Yacht Club.
