Oranjeville
Geography and history
Oranjeville is a small town situated in the Northern Free State region of the Free State Province, South Africa. This town is named after the Prince of Orange from Holland and was founded on the banks of the Wilge River. It served as a halfway house for travellers moving between Heilbron, Frankfort and Vereeniging. It has a meagre population of approximately 300 of which the majority speaks Afrikaans. Today it is referred to as the Peninsula of the Northern Free State.
