Ottosdal
Geography and history
Ottosdal is a small town situated in the Central Region of the North West Province in South Africa. It was officially proclaimed a town in 1917 after it had been formed around the new Dutch Reformed Parish in 1913. Ottosdal is named after GP Otto, the owner of the farm Korannafontein on which the town was built.
This charming town is located in the centre of a sunflower and maize farming district. Ottosdal has a population of approximately 2 000 inhabitants and the majority of them speak Afrikaans. This town has a hot and dry climate. DR NGAKA MODIRI MOLEMA DISTRICT.
